Taylor has been a Licensed Associate Therapist in Arizona & California for the past 5 years and is currently a Marriage & Family Therapist Candidate in Colorado. She graduated with her Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on both marriage & family, as well as professional clinical counseling. She guides adults to better communication by focusing on attachment. She is drawn to focusing on attachment as we experience life & how that affects many types relationships. This understanding of attachment can be helpful for couples, families, & individuals. She has also done Equine Assisted Therapy with trauma in young adults. She believes that the first & hardest step to seeing change is to make the decision to seek counseling. You have already started that process!
She really enjoys working with adult individuals who struggle with their child-parent relationship. Childhood trauma in adults is a growing passion as well. Another area she loves is working with couples using a model known as Emotionally Focused Therapy. It also looks at your previous attachments effecting your current relationship. Emotionally Focused Therapy really looks at building that foundation of emotional security with our partner.
She believes in working together to find the deeper levels of concern that lead to anxiety, depression, relational issues, etc. It is her main concern to provide a safe environment in which healthy healing can be accomplished.
